Clues float by

Beloved reader of this blog, whoever you may be. Even if you are just me. Hello. Welcome to this week’s muse. Last week I percolated and this week I probably am too. It seems like a whole lotta percolating and little else.

Imagine sitting in a boat in the fog, nothing stirs except the lapping of calm water. This can feel blissfully quiet or painfully overwhelming and it is, both at the same time. Every so often something drifts by in the water and it looks like a clue. I am collecting clues. I think this blog is a way to keep the clues together…

Within this photo: photos from Pinterest of collection display cases; Vintage tobacco design with house from the Frederic Marés Museum in Barcelona together with a collections of decorated boxes from the same place; A stone kitchen also printed from Pinterest some time ago; Black and white images of some Barracas (traditional Valencia cottages) from the Valencian Museum of Ethnology; Photo taken by me of a hat shop in Valencia and another of a bakery in Barcelona; A doll’s house found in the National Museum of Ceramics in Valencia; Habitat Group for a Shooting Gallery, 1943 by Joseph Cornell.

Sketchbook drawings from 23-25th June 2022

Things, unimportant objects framed in boxes… collections, 3D collages, ancient kitchens.
